Our Projects
Barbican Centre
Critical electrical infrastructure upgrade for the iconic Barbican Centre performing arts venue.
Plans
"The electrical upgrade was executed with exceptional precision and care for our historic venue. The team understood the unique challenges of working in a Grade II listed building and delivered beyond our expectations."
The Brief
The Barbican Centre required a comprehensive electrical infrastructure upgrade to support their world-class performing arts venue. The project involved replacing aging systems while preserving the building's architectural integrity and ensuring continuous operation of critical venue facilities.
Working within a Grade II listed building presented unique challenges, requiring careful coordination with conservation officers and specialist techniques to install modern systems without damaging historic fabric.
How We Delivered
We implemented a phased upgrade programme working around performance schedules to minimise disruption. The project included new main distribution systems, specialised stage lighting infrastructure, and enhanced power systems for the centre's theatres, concert halls, and exhibition spaces.
Our team installed state-of-the-art systems including backup power generators, intelligent building controls, and comprehensive safety systems. All work complied with both modern electrical standards and heritage building requirements.
