The Brief
Barclays required a complete transformation of their existing office space at Canary Wharf into a modern, flexible working environment. The brief called for open-plan collaboration areas, private meeting rooms, and a state-of-the-art electrical infrastructure to support their growing technology needs.
The project needed to be completed within a tight 12-week timeframe, with minimal disruption to the adjacent occupied floors. We worked closely with the client's facilities team to coordinate out-of-hours work and ensure business continuity throughout the fit-out.
How We Delivered
The existing space was stripped back to shell and core, with all legacy electrical systems removed and replaced with a new high-efficiency distribution network. We installed over 200 power and data points, along with a comprehensive LED lighting scheme featuring intelligent controls for energy management.
New glazed partitions were installed to create acoustic separation between meeting rooms and open-plan areas, while maintaining natural light flow throughout the floor plate. The project was completed on programme and within budget, with full NICEIC certification and comprehensive O&M documentation.
